Opening tomorrow, Thursday, March 3 at 12 pm slt, at the DathĂșil Gallery of Art, is slow motion riot and a nude, an exhibition of works by Zib (Zib Scaggs), who is well known to many in the Second Life community as proprietor of Zibska, which offers highly distinctive jewelry and haute couture items that are in and of themselves artistic statements. Many of the images in the exhibition reflect the same aesthetic that comes through in Zib's fashion work, and even feature pieces she has created for Zibska.
Zib's photographic compositions are arranged on two floors of the gallery, interspersed with the occasional appearance of three-dimensional zebras. "The images in the slow motion riot and a nude exhibition are of those things I have made, or avatars I adorn," explains Zib in her notes to the show. "I have left a few creations out in the gallery for you, you will find them in the zebras. One of my favourite parts of creating in SL is seeing what others do with the pieces." The exhibition will remain on display until March 30.
